There are things which we can all learn from lane driving in Delhi. The biggest learning is that there are no lanes. People can turn left or right with the least amount of care and ignorning that he might hit your new car..Though I would not turn left or right without checking the mirrors but I might hit your new car because of sheer jealously!..
Secondly, there are situations when you are following a car at a great speed and so you expect that the speed would continue. If you want to overtake the guy, you have to linger on and then suddenly an opening opens where you can zip pass the guy who was ahead of you..(in his new car ofcourse with all the polyethene sheets still clinging on to the seats even after two months of purchase.,)...sometimes I have noticed that the way a person drives the car shows why he is driving such a car..lously people drive lously cars in the same segment..even when they have choices coz they are used to make lousy decisions.
So, If I take this above scenario and place it on an altar of philosphy..I would reach the logical conclusion that your speed lies priarily on the guy u r following..you have to choose the right leader..or be a decent follower of someone who deserves to be followed. Additionally, if you want to surpass the asshole in front of you and you dont have the space, who will have to linger on. With the traffice moving in the system, space would come. Just wait..
And yes, we are to wear speed belts..in all phases of life..protection comes first..better safe then sorry..
